The use of colour reflects the architects' vision of what an ideal home should look like: warm, vibrant and exuding a sense of belonging. "Our building brings people together. The structure with three volumes forms a small residential core in itself, with a courtyard at its heart and with shops on the ground floor where people can meet. The undulation of the facades with a kaleidoscopic multiplicity, creates dexterity."
“Huis aan de Kade (House on the Quay)” is also lifted slightly off the ground, creating a connection to the site, as well as to the Scheldt and the quays. It will be hard to find a more beautiful view of the Scheldt and the future Kaaipark anywhere. It is that vastness that we wanted to integrate into the building and apartments. Large windows, bay windows, winter gardens and terraces allow an experience from inside to outside."
