Parkzicht

The greenest view in town

Parkzicht is one of three designs on Nieuw Zuid that were drafted by Mauro Poponcini of POLO Architects. The other two are Zuiderpromenade and Kaai Nieuw Zuid.

Attention to green space

Parkzicht (park view) is true to its name, as it is one of the buildings closest to the new park. More so, nearby greenery is incorporated into the design to make the living environment even more pleasant. The spacious terraces, which can be closed off, create a wonderful unity. They also literally form a buffer between private and public.

Parkzicht, in addition to having a beautiful courtyard garden and a park next door, also has a large rooftop garden. It features a wide variety of housing types: from dual-aspect apartments to penthouses with roof terraces, or garden apartments. By the way, all homes are oriented to catch the sun from morning to evening.

Did you know that the ground floor houses a nursery? The city's most sustainable nursery has room for 56 babies and toddlers.

“I think Nieuw Zuid is a great place to live. Because that buffer between public and private has been considered. It's also a real part of the city.”

POLO Architects

The architect's vision

For POLO Architects, a building should be able to be present in its surroundings for years without losing its social and cultural significance. "With a new design we always start from a concept and a location. We also always look for the peculiarities of the area and try to incorporate them. The three buildings we designed for Nieuw Zuid are all in different locations and built with different materials. This automatically gives them their own identity."
